REVIEW: Can coconut oil whiten your teeth?
A budget way to brighten your smile!
If I could go back in time and change one thing when I was little, It would be battling my mum about brushing my teeth.
These days teeth are trending nearly as much as eyebrows and there's no denying they're always in peoples imaginary 'what I look for in a girl/guy' lists.
I drink tea literally by the hour so obviously I'm not
blessed with natural pearly whites. They're not canary yellow, but I wouldn't
object to them being a little whiter and brighter. But I'm sure you can sympathise that getting your teeth whitened and being a student don't really go hand in hand.

Luckily coconut oil is not only cheap and cheerful, but is apparently great
for removing bacteria from your gums and teeth. An ideal alternative for students like myself, as all you
literally need is a toothbrush and a jar of coconut oil which only costs £2.25 at Tesco
- hardly a landslide to your bank account.
I decided to give this a go myself for two weeks. All
I'd do is brush my teeth with coconut oil first thing in the morning and evening then brush
them as normal - easy squeazy!
The results:
Week 1
Week 2
Comparison
I'd say the results are 50/50. The coconut oil really helped
to brighten my front teeth, but the ones on the side which contain really bad
stains didn't improve much. I feel like if I'd done this consistently for a month I'd eventually see results on those.
On the bright side you haven't lost any money as you can use
coconut oil for so many other things. So if you've got time and patience I'd
defiantly give it a go, you've got nothing to lose!
